EXOTIC ARK

RudeFish’s Exotic Ark collection is inspired by the artist’s long-standing fascination with antique toys and forgotten objects.

Old dolls, porcelain figurines, miniature furniture, vintage tea sets, toy eyes, and scattered body parts… Worn down by time and sometimes a little strange, these small objects are collected one by one through RudeFish’s drawings and rearranged inside a cabinet of curiosities that belongs entirely to her world.

The collection continues RudeFish’s signature dreamlike visual language, collaging and recombining antique toys, vintage interiors, doll bodies, and delicate decorative details. Familiar objects are enlarged, taken apart, and rearranged, as if stepping into an old room overflowing with someone’s private collection: delicate, sweet, crowded, yet carrying a peculiar sense of life.

Like hiding every old toy you could never bring yourself to throw away, one by one, inside a cabinet drawn on paper.
