RUDEFISH [1] is a limited-edition collection of RudeFish's early works created between 2017 and 2020.

Across 60 pages, the book opens up an early RudeFish universe filled with strange characters, twisted fairy tales, childhood fantasies and slightly unsettling scenes. Cute things become a little suspicious, familiar images start to feel strange, and everything sits somewhere between playfulness, nostalgia and unease.

Featuring Butterfly Paradise, Butterfly, Group Portrait, PLAY HOUSE, Night, Princess's Grudge, Sleeping Prince, Three Bears and Hollow Tree, the book captures the beginnings of RudeFish's visual language and the recurring characters, moods and odd little worlds that would continue to develop in later work.

Made as an object to keep, collect and return to, RUDEFISH [1] is finished with an embossed hardcover and sewn binding, and was first printed in an edition of 300 copies. It is now printed to order.
